10 Letters of Recommendation
Letters of recommendation are for: *private and out-of-state universities *scholarships Students need to ask for letters of recommendation. Students need to have their resumes ready to give any person who will be writing letters on your behalf. MOST IMPORTANTLY, IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU PROVIDE AMPLE TIME FOR LETTERS TO BE WRITTEN.

11 Scholarships University Scholarships: Are through each
individual school and processes may vary. Clovis West Scholarships : The counseling department will be publishing the Clovis West Scholarship Bulletin, monthly. For ALL who receive a scholarship, retain copies in your college binder / folder for future use regarding acknowledgment upon graduation.

12 SAT/ ACT SAT ACT Register for the SAT exam at:
(Test dates: Oct. 6th, Nov. 3rd, and Dec. 1st) Self-report test scores and send all test scores to all schools you apply to. ACT Register for the ACT exam at: (Test dates: Oct. 27th, and Dec. 8th)

13 Financial Aid Students must register for the FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) in order to be considered for financial aid from the federal government, the state, and the university you may attend. The FAFSA application period is: October 1, March 2, Applications can be submitted starting Oct. 1st. 1st FAFSA Workshop for students and families is scheduled for October 11th, pm in C Bldg.

14 NCAA Eligibility Athletes intending to play at the Division I or II level, you MUST register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. The website is: Schedule a meeting with your counselor, as soon as possible, to verify that you are on track with the course work required by NCAA.
