2 Neolithic Revolution Early humans were nomadic hunters & gatherers & had to move around to find their food

3 Some hunters & gatherers were advanced, but were never able to develop complex societies because they had to migrate to find food

4 Men and women were equal, sharing duties supporting their clans/tribes
Hunter and gatherers travelled in small groups, across regions, in climates that were temperate Men and women were equal, sharing duties supporting their clans/tribes Clans only collect as much as they needed

5 Around 8,000 B.C.E., the Neolithic Revolution occurred & early humans discovered how to farm & domesticate animals

6 Neolithic Revolution Farming changed the way humans lived:
People no longer had to be nomads Food surpluses led to population increases Farming villages became established along river valleys for their good soil & irrigation
