ASD(HA) has expressed some concern about current design asserting that it does not “define” the Medical Center; NAVFAC has responded that exterior design could be reworked until as late as March/April 08 but redesign would have to be coordinated with National Capital Planning Commission and State Historical Preservation Organization. Current design has been cleared by those agencies.

Start Date: 09 May Fences off area for construction field offices in front of Building 1 Trailers arrive 10 May Prohibits access to Wood Drive in front of Building 1 Eliminates parking in front of Building 1 South fence equipped with a gate to permit emergency access Access to lots A, L, and Presidential Drive not affected Construction of temporary access road to begin in mid-May

4. Phase 2 – Red Fence Lines
Start Date: 01 June – Fence installation 14 June – Close parking lots A&L North - Fences off construction area for Building A and parking garage Interim access to parking lots A & L will be provided through fencing until excavation begins on 14 June South – Creates secure barrier between temporary construction road and the rest of campus Creates new gate from MD 355 for temporary construction road access Establishes a security, badging, and inspection area for construction traffic to be manned by CBB personnel
