2. Life of a Cell The cell cycle occurs in 3 stages:
- interphase (longest Phase)
- mitosis
- cytokinesis

5. Interphase is the longest phase of the cell cycle
Interphase is the longest phase of the cell cycle. The G1, S and G2 phase all occur during interphase. The process of Mitosis only takes up about 25% of the cells life.
