2. What can GobiAlerts do?
GobiAlerts is a new service to send regularly scheduled s to faculty members (or others) of newly profiled titles or newly generated notification slips, based on parameters
Consultants will be responsible for setting up GobiAlerts for their departments
Acquisitions will be responsible for setting up folders to receive approved requests from consultants and completing the export process into III

3. Searching GobiAlerts Step 1)
Click on “Search GobiAlerts” under “Orders”

4. Step 2)
The GobiAlerts file contains all the recommendations from all the faculty/users
You can retrieve just the duplicates, this will be helpful as a collection development tool and with de-duping before sending to Acquisitions

5. Step 3)
Typically, you’ll want to search for a specific set of GobiAlert recommendations
Click on “Search for recommendations… “

6. Step 4)
You can use the parameters on the lower part of the form; however, searching by initials is the recommended search
Select recommendations under “Requestor Initials”
Click on “Retrieve Search”

7. Step 5)
This will pull up a list of recommendations

8. Step 6)
Click on the link “Title recommended (‘date’) to see title history
This will open up a screen showing data about who and how many faculty recommended that title

9. Step 7)
To recommend a title(s) for order, check box and click on add to folder

10. Step 8)
Select folder with appropriate fund code and rq (request) Ex: “Business RQ”

11. Acquisition Folders Each fund has 4 Gobi folders Request folder (RQ)
send folders you want ordered here
Hold folder (H)
Review this folder to see titles that were not ordered due to inefficient funds
Duplicates/problems folder (DP)
Review this folder every week to review duplicates or problems
Export folder (E)
This folder is for acquisitions to use to export titles ready to be ordered
