10 The Final Image: Day 8 What does the final image and metaphor in the book suggest about humanity and human life: “So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past” (Fitzgerald 180). Discuss this by using at least one quoted example from the text in a two paragraph response.
