3 Civilization or Prehistory?
Prehistory is the period of time before writing Civilization is a society in an advanced state of development with writing, government, religion, jobs and social classes, arts and architecture, and public works

4 History or Archaeology?
History is the recorded events of the past. Archaeology is the scientific study of the physical evidence of past human societies recovered through excavation.

5 Polytheism, Monotheism or Atheism?
Polytheism is the belief in many gods and/or goddesses. Monotheism is the belief in only one god or supreme being or creator. Atheism is the belief in no gods or godesses.

6 Matriarchal or Patriarchal?
Matriarchal societies are political/social systems in which women hold the power. Patriarchal societies are political/social systems in which men hold the power. Egalitarian societies are political/social systems in which men and women share power.

7 Fact or Myth? A fact is an event known to have happened or something known to have existed, through evidences. A myth is a traditional story accepted as history; serves to explain the worldview of a people Proof???

8 City-States or Empire? A city-state is an independent, self-governing city that incorporated its surrounding territory, including smaller towns and villages An empire is a state that extends dominion over populations distinct culturally and ethnically from the culture/ethnicity at the center of power
