10 Homework My Maths will be set most weeks. The children complete the work online and receive immediate feedback when they click the check button. They are able to complete the homework as many times as they like. My Maths also has lots of great games which the children can access whenever they like. Spellings will be given out at the beginning of every half term for that term. They are tested every Monday. Children are awarded 1 house point for practising their spellings and further house points for learning the definitions and putting the words into sentences. Children are encouraged to read their reading books every evening. Children need to write in their reading record when they have read. When they have finished their book they complete a short comprehension test using accelerated reader and then change their book. Children are encouraged to read other types of literature also.

11 Homework Other homework is given out approximately every two weeks. This will vary in nature according to the learning that has taken part in class. Over summer the children were asked to continue learning their times tables. They should be continuing to practice these weekly.
