HDR ‘cause clarity doesn’t cut it for landscape

2 Step 1 Do not do anything that moves for you will be taking 3 photographs of the same object, one that is too light, one bang on, one too dark. HDR combines all 3 or 6 or 9 photos to bring in more detail in the highlights, midtones and shadows.

3 You will need a tripod. Set your camera to AV to keep the aperture the same. You do not want to change the aperture or depth of field around otherwise parts will be out of focus as the exposure changes.

4 Go into AEB and press the circular button in the back to have it spread out.

5 Ours will look like the above, just 1 stop difference
Ours will look like the above, just 1 stop difference. Meaning a photo will be taken with ½ the light darker, bang on and ½ the light lighter.

6 We only do 3 shots though.

8 Set your camera on burst mode

9 Choose the 2 seconds, 8 takes forever.

10 File, automate, HDR pro

11 Then just load up the CR2 images. It takes a while. Then play in HDR!

12 Do 2 images only, so 6 photos in total.
