2 THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICPATED!!!
Each year, on the third Saturday in September, volunteers from around the world join together to clean beaches, rivers and other waterways. This year 1,683 volunteers cleaned over 7,700 pounds of trash in Volusia County. Volunteers worked together to document every piece of trash they found using standardized trash tally data cards. This information is used by the Ocean Conservancy to produce the world’s only state-by-state, country-by-country Marine Debris Index. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICPATED!!!

3 Cassen Park Volunteers at Cassen Park which is located at the Granada boat ramp in Ormond Beach cleaned 225 pounds of trash .

4 Andy Romano Park 64 volunteers at Andy Romano Park cleaned 135 pounds of trash from the beach

5 Father Lopez High Schools Green Wave 4H Group cleaned up
30 pounds of trash at Andy Romano Park in Ormond Beach.

6 Sunsplash Park Site captains at Sunsplash Park helped 76 volunteers clean up 50 pounds of trash

7 Daytona Beach City Island Park
40 volunteers cleaned 556 pounds of trash from Daytona Beach City Island Park

8 Dahlia Park Cherise’s Heavenly Fitness Center volunteers cleaned 82 pounds of trash from the beach at Dahlia Park in Daytona Beach Shores

9 Port Orange Causeway Park
54 volunteers cleaned 1,010 pounds of trash at Port Orange Causeway Park in addition to rescuing an imperiled juvenile sea gull

10 Ponce Inlet Jetty Underwater Clean Up
3 divers cleaned 79 pounds of trash from the Ponce Inlet Jetty including 500 pieces of fishing line

11 River Breeze Park 42 volunteers cleaned 670 pounds of trash at River Breeze Park including this fiberglass boat hull

12 Smyrna Yacht Club Smyrna Yacht Club members came together to clean 152 pounds of trash

13 Adopt-A-Beach partners
The Florida Department of Health in Volusia County cleaned their adopted mile of beach during the event
