1. Notice that the borders of ancient China have seas and mountains. How do you think these geographical features impact China? 
Seas and mountains were difficult to cross, making communication, travel, and trade hard in early China. They will isolate China from surrounding places.  
2. How do you think the rivers will impact early Chinese societies?
Rivers will provide water for drinking and crops, which will allow permanent settlements to form and cities to grow.
3. Choose a place on the map where you think Chinese civilization might have begun, and explain your choice. BE SPECIFIC.
Near a river. A place needs fresh water and good farmland in order for a farming village to make a food surplus, and grow into a civilization.
