2 Amos- Bio Michael A. Amos is an actor/author born March 29th, 1983, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He started his acting career in 2004 when he landed a small montage role in the feature film, Against the Ropes, a drama movie, starring Meg Ryan, Omar Epps, Kerry Washington, which was directed by Charles S. Dutton, in his motion-picture directorial debut. As his love for acting grew, he was cast in the made for T.V. movie Redemption: The Stan ‘Tookie’ Williams Story starringJamie Foxx and directed by Vondie Curtis-Hall. Trivia Michael A. Amos is the nephew of the 1988 Canadian Olympic Silver Medalist and 1992 NABF Light Heavyweight Champion, Egerton Marcus. He is also the younger cousin of Troy Amos-Ross, the 2009 boxing reality TV show The Contender champion and two-time Canadian Olympian. Michael A. Amos attended the same high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada as professional basketball player Olu Famutimi, professional soccer player Miguel Cañizalez, and graduated in the same 2001 class with the current N.H.L. captain of the Calgary Flames, Mark Giordano. Michael A. Amos, an avid athlete, also competed in intercollegiate Track and Field on scholarship in Indiana, USA.
