The Scottish Highlands offer people a remote rural experience. Peace and quiet is what people seek when they choose to move to this northern part of Scotland. Some business opportunities exist in the cities of Aberdeen and Inverness. The main cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow are too far away for commuting.
