1 SLIDE A Instructions Click on PowerPoint icon called Hewitt107.ppt. Go to “Slide Show” at top of page and click on “View Show.” Click the left mouse button to advance from slide-to-slide throughout the presentation. Any animation will take place automatically. Press the “escape” button to exit show when finished. If there are slides you do not want to show, you may hide these slides. To do this, look at the bottom left-hand corner of the presentation. Click on the third icon from the left (“slide sorter view”). This will allow you to view all of the slides in miniature. Click on the slide you would like to “hide” to select it, and go to “Slide Show” at top of page and click on “Hide Slide.” (Remember to “unhide” after the presentation.) Introduce yourself giving your name, office you recruit for, and other pertinent information. You will want to get a “demographic read” on the audience by asking what majors are in the room. This will help you later in the role description/hiring opportunity portion. Determine if you have actuarial and/or IS candidates in the room. In the spring it will be helpful for you to ask who is a junior, senior, intern, or full-time candidate. You will want to ask the audience to participate by asking the students what they would like to know. Write the responses on a flip chart, notepad or chalk board and direct your presentation based on the topics you receive.
