14 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever, I will sing, I will sing. I will sing of the mercies of the Lord.

15 With my mouth will I make known Thy faithfulness, Thy faithfulness; Thy faithfulness to all generations.

19 THE CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 16:7-11

20 Minister: I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me. I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

21 People: Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my body dwells secure.

22 Minister: For You will not abandon my soul, or let your Holy One see corruption.

23 People: You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

24 Congregational Prayer of Confession ALL: Almighty God, You have raised Jesus from the grave and crowned Him Lord of all. We confess that we have not always bowed before Him or acknowledged His rule in our lives.

25 We have gone along with the way of the world and failed to give Him glory. Forgive us and raise us from sin, that we may be Your faithful people,

26 obeying the commands of our Lord Jesus Christ, who rules the world and is head of the church, His body. Lord Jesus, hear our prayers.

27 SILENT PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING AND CONFESSION

28 Words of Assurance and Pardon of the Gospel (I Corinthians 15:54b-57)

29 Minister: Then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”

30 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

33 Here I Am, Lord Hymn # 589

34 I, the lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry All who dwell in deepest sin My hand will save I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send?

35 Here I am, Lord Is it I, Lord. I have heard You calling in the night
Here I am, Lord Is it I, Lord? I have heard You calling in the night. I will go, Lord If You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart

36 I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have born my people’s pain
I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have born my people’s pain. I have wept for love of them, They turn away. I will break their hearts of stone, Give them hearts for love alone. I will speak my word to them. Whom shall I send?

37 Here I am, Lord Is it I, Lord. I have heard You calling in the night
Here I am, Lord Is it I, Lord? I have heard You calling in the night. I will go, Lord If You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart

38 I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame I will set a feast for them, My hand will save. Finest bread I will provide, Till their hearts be satisfied I will give My life to them, Whom shall I send?

39 Here I am, Lord Is it I, Lord. I have heard You calling in the night
Here I am, Lord Is it I, Lord? I have heard You calling in the night. I will go, Lord If You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart

41 The Proclamation of Scripture

42 Romans 8:1, 31-39 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus,

43 What then shall we say about such wonderful things as these
What then shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but gave him up for us all-

44 --won’t He also give us everything else
--won’t He also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for His own? No one– for God Himself has given us right standing with Himself

45 Who then will condemn us
Who then will condemn us? No one– for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.

46 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?

47 ( As the scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep” ) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us.

48 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death, nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today

49 Nor our worries for tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below--

50 Indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

51 Minister: This is the good news of the gospel! People: Thanks Be to God!

59 Amazing grace How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost, but now I'm found Was blind, but now I see

60 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear And grace my fears relieved How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed

61 My chains are gone I've been set free My God, my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood His mercy reigns Unending love, amazing grace

62 The Lord has promised good to me His word my hope secures He will my shield and portion be As long as life endures

63 My chains are gone I've been set free My God, my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood His mercy reigns Unending love, amazing grace

64 My chains are gone I've been set free My God, my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood His mercy reigns Unending love, amazing grace

65 The earth shall soon dissolve like snow The sun forbear to shine But God, Who called me here below, Will be forever mine. Will be forever mine. You are forever mine.
