We have designed training programmes that offer a variety of routes to professionally recognised training qualifications.

6 Introduction to Learning and Development On completion of this unit you should be able to: Undertake a basic training needs analysis for an organisation.Undertake a basic training needs analysis for an organisation. 7 What will I learn? This is a very practical unit which will teach you how to decide what kind of training is needed in a particular situation and choose how training should be delivered. You will also learn to plan a short training session and deliver it to a small group, providing feedback to learners and using feedback from learners to improve future sessions. Back to Route

The length of time to complete the Introduction to Training and Development depends on the route taken: –If you choose to attend College This will take 5 days full time, or 10 half days or evenings, plus additional study in your own time.This will take 5 days full time, or 10 half days or evenings, plus additional study in your own time. –If you choose to study in your own time This will take no more than 3 months. 18 How is it delivered? The SVQs are work-based qualifications and you will not be required to attend college. You will be allocated an Assessor who will work with you to plan how you will gather evidence and how that evidence will be assessed. Back to Work-based Trainers

21 SVQ Level 4 Learning and Development If you have completed the SVQ Level 3 Learning and Development or the HNC Learning and Development and your job role is extended to include managing and co-ordinating training programmes you may be able to complete the Level 4 Learning and Development. Classes during the day or during the evening are supplemented by support materials for self-study, available on our electronic campus – Blackboard.
