5. Disclosures
Taxable amounts withdrawn prior to age 59½ may be subject to a 10% IRS penalty in addition to ordinary income tax. Withdrawals are not credited with interest earnings for that term. Withdrawals in excess of the free amount are subject to withdrawal charges and a market value adjustment as well as any interest accrued during the term that is attributed to the excess amount.
If elected, the Family Endowment Rider® provides a guaranteed death benefit floor upon the death of the annuitant equal to the premium accumulated at an interest rate of up to 4%.
Assuming the Income Advantage is kept in effect, the accumulation stops at the earlier of 18 years (if the 10 year extension is elected) or when Lifetime Income Withdrawals begin.  The 8% guaranteed growth pertains to the rider's Income Base and does not apply to the base annuity contract's Accumulated Value.  Your Income Base is the value upon which your Lifetime Income Withdrawals are based. The Income Base is only accessible through Lifetime Income Withdrawals that you can start and stop and restart. It is not payable as a cash surrender value. The Income Base is not the same as the Accumulation Value of the BalancedAllocation Annuity™ contract.
