Restoration Objectives
Create wetland areas Re-grade the surface – microhabitats Expose true acidic soils to support heathland Re-establish seepage lines / mires Re-create incised valley heads Greenham Common Restoration – 2000 / 2001

To unlock the Restoration Objectives
27.5 Ha had to be re-profiled / restored Removal to Lower Farm of 707,000m3 of ballast by separating it from material contaminated with hydrocarbons at the Common for Bio-remediation Over 1 million m3 soil to be moved to create landform Cost of overall contract £1.5 million
