Detailed description of contract:
To provide one large flexible space to promote fuller use of the Church for Community activities. Works comprised replacing the South porch Oak doors, removing fixed ‘pew’ seating and excavating and replacing the nave floor.
Replacement of the nave floor enabled installation of new underfloor heating and was completed under the supervision of an Archaeologist whilst utilising Heritage construction methods.

Undertaking all works, by hand, in a restricted working space to limit potential disturbance to the existing building and finishes
Working closely with a retained Archaeologist, during all hand excavation works, to carefully exhume human remains and artefacts for later interment
Carefully removing existing stone features to be re-stated upon completion of the works
