1 Credit summary January 18th Advisement

2 February is the month!!! February is the month for registering for your classes for next school year! During your core classes (math, English, science, and social studies), your teacher will talk to you about what class to take next year and they will sign you up for that class. During advisement, you will hear how to signup for electives, pathways, Move On When Ready, and other classes you can take

3 Also in February…. Your parents will meet with your advisor to review graduation requirements, credits earned, and what classes you are signed up to take next year If you want to change classes from what your core teachers said you should take, your parents MUST complete a waiver request form (an example would be they put you in English Literature and you want to take AP English Literature) Your advisor will contact your parents about when to meet

Ask your advisor if you have questions! They can get an answer for you.

7 What’s next? Each week in February, you’ll hear announcements and see advertisements during lunch about electives Your math, English, science, and social studies teachers will register you for your next class, but YOU need to register for your pathway and other electives

8 Ask Questions!?! If you don’t know, ask…
Your advisor is there to help as well as your other teachers, administrators, and counselors The classes you choose now WILL BE the classes you take next year Schedule changes will only occur if you are missing a class you need to graduate Make sure to choose alternatives in addition to your 8 classes just in case your first choice is full
