June 7th 2017

2 Agenda topics Review of point/hours requirements
3 points- which are 3 NHS activities. You need 3 each semester. Usually you don’t need a signature because we have sign in sheets. The Dugan run was an exception to this. Hours- you need a total of 12 hours each semester. No more than 6 with any one event. Hours can be earned from school activities, church, temple, dance, car wash fundraisers for sports teams.. When in doubt just send me an or remind message to as. These need a signature at the time of the event so bring your sheet! NHS activities can be used for hours, after you have earned the 3 points.

3 Attendance To maintain good standing and receive your stole for graduation you must attend at least 2/3 of the nhs meetings. There are 12 meetings. This is your second. You need to be at 8 meetings. Advice: don’t miss meetings! Make sure you sign in on the attendance sheet at every meeting.

4 communication It is your responsibility to: Attend meetings
Sign up for REMIND Sign up for twitter – run by officers Check school once a week, open s or shared documents so you can verify information is accurate and sign up for events Every year a few students run into problems meeting their requirements. This can turn out in two ways: 1. ignore it and force us to address the problem with you, which usually involves us tracking you down and a hearing before the committee. 2. communicate the problem with your advisors and we will help you figure it out before it is too late!

5 Election After the speeches and the election you may leave – but make sure you have signed in on the attendance sheet!
