Developed by OCFRA & CFOA with LGA, IDeA, HSE, & Audit Commission Move on from OASD 7 KLOEs No Scoring Shift from HS(G)65 Peer Review Team Stakeholders involved in development Self assessment and Peer review – neither are compulsory but Audit Commission expect Self assessment to feed into Org assessment Not everyone get a peer review this year – self assessment ongoing – peer review every 3 years. Op Assessment inform use of resources and managing performance themes in Organisational assessment 7 KLOEs No score from peer review – just comment on whether self assessment honest and rigorous, no assessment of operational capability Shift from HS(G)65 model – reduce repetition (audit and monitoring) each KLOE more specific and relevant Team – discuss later

1 IDeA Manager – Co-ordination 1 Elected Member 2 Fire Specific – 1 with Seniority to Lead 1 Non-Fire Sector Flexible in Context of Service Objective, Critical Friend, Fair, Supportive & Constructive Quality Control No Appeal Co-ordinated by IDeA – logistics, report etc (Improvement and Development Agency At least 2 fire specific – CFOA lead Elected member – community engagement and member peer No specific – chief exec, Director Quality Control through IDeA – trained everyone Peer review is a self funded challenge to Self assessment FRA engaged in peer review throughout – no surprises – conclusion is peer assessment team’s views of self assessment and designed to help drive improvement No appeal as this is peer perspective of self assessment – widely used in local government FRA can disagree with peer assessment and chose not to use but must explain this to Audit Commission
