They had held fast to Christ’s name
They did not deny Him even though Antipas had been killed for Christ sake.
This type of faithfulness is commanded by Christ – Matthew 10:28-33

11. Admonition – “Nevertheless”
Identifying with Christ is a start but not all that’s required.
We must also identify with His teachings
Two other doctrines were held to
Balaam – Disregard for God’s commands; greed; sexual immorality; idolatry
Nicolaitins – Possibly similar to Balaam’s but definitely opposed to Christ’s doctrine

12. Warning
“Repent (2 Cor. 7:10), or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth” – Rev 2:16

13. He Who Has An Ear To him who overcomes
“I will give some of the hidden manna to eat”
