FileFacets is a multi-tenant, database-per-tenant cloud application. The company had been constantly overprovisioning and overpaying for its cloud services. It was also cumbersome to implement and expensive to maintain common design patterns. Virtual machines needed to be provisioned on demand for integration testing. The company needed a better alternative to address these problems.

SOLUTION
Microsoft Azure SQL database elastic pools helped FileFacets scale its application storage and implement database sharing. In a few clicks, the Azure App Service allowed FileFacets to set up different deployment slots with continuous integration from the TFS code repository. The company effortlessly deployed and managed the Azure API using Swagger integration and automated client code generation. This setup let the company provision and de-provision testing environments on demand, which simplified integration testing and reduced costs.
