1 The Global Guide Program at The Johns Hopkins Carey Business School connects incoming GMBA students with second-year GMBAs to assist in the transition to graduate school and to start the networking and community-building process within cohorts. Beginning in May and ending in September, volunteer second-year students can serve as Global Guides; helping incoming students understand academic expectations while sharing insights about adjusting to life in Baltimore. Build community and network within Global MBA cohorts The Goal Establish a welcoming environment for incoming GMBAs Assist first-years with transitional information such as living in Baltimore, student life, and academics Your Time | Estimated involvement time for Global Guides: hours total April Attend Global Guide + GMBA Association Happy Hour on 4/23 from 4:30pm-6:30pm at Mussel Bar to fill out application. Appetizers provided by Global Guide program. May Fill out application by 5/1, sent in follow-up if you did not attend the Happy Hour Attend training luncheon on 5/6 from 12:15pm-1:15pm in room 201 Jun-Aug Establish & maintain contact with your assigned incoming GMBA(s) at least twice a month Sep Attend Meet & Greet Happy Hour, location & date TBD
