2 Current Situation: There are no formulated targets in the TTO Badminton community There is no official policy document in TTBA, explaining what the organisation wants to achieve and how To achieve personal goals, officials intend to use the power of their position instead of seeking cooperation, based on respect Knowledge and experience is present in TTBA, although in cases outdated, but not used in the right positions of TTBA Overall, there is no real leadership in TTBA, based on a consonance on the policy of how to bring badminton forward

3 Set aside rivalry, strive for cooperation, forget personal goals
Advice: Formulate targets on short term and long term for the 5 Fundamentals of TTBA As a result of the Strategic Plan, develop Operational Plans for each of the 5 Fundamentals and COMMUNICATE these plans Re – Structure the TTBA organisation for the sake of reaching targets Make use of existing Knowledge & Experience. Add from outside where necessary Set aside rivalry, strive for cooperation, forget personal goals

6 Organisational Excellence More People Participating in Badminton High Performance Pathways Event Competition Strengthen Club Capability Outfitting of TTBA Office. Internet Phone Furniture Creating a strategic plan for the SSBA aimed at promoting badminton in the secondary and primary school level To host meetings with persons identified with knowledge and experience to begin work in the appropriate area Review of Calendar of Event to include more local tournaments for each Category CCR to visit each club once per month to document any issues or recommendations Staffing of Office with Part time administration to address issues Performing surveys to obtain baseline information on the number of kid playing badminton in primary and secondary school To make the necessary recommendations for the constitutional change Planning of the Calendar of Events for 2019 by August A club survey will completed to gauge the level of satisfaction Dissemination of Information via the TTBA website and electronic media The incubation of Clubs from the SSBA Source a foreign coach to carry out coach education and training. To engage clubs to hosts more tournaments Hosting of Seminars aimed at providing training for club administrators

8 CONCLUSION: The badminton fraternity in Trinidad and Tobago has knowledge and experience, however we have a culture of self interest and self promotion. We must look at our sport holistically. We must not be afraid to make the changes that will see badminton move forward. This must be a joint effort from all our stakeholders.
