Filling your “Training Tool Box”

3 Training Tips . As a trainer, it is important to know your comfort level and style as a presenter. Providing Mandated Reporter Trainings can be challenging managing a lot of detailed information. It is important to get lots of practice and feedback if you are new to training. If you are new to public speaking or have a tendency to get nervous. It is important to make sure you get lots of practice and feedback from others who can give you suggestions. Toastmasters is a great way to learn public speaking and is highly recommend it.

4 Suggestions What Not to Do!!!!

5 Points to Ponder Important to make your presentation your own!
Consider your audience Important to make your presentation your own! How much time do you have to present? If you are new to training, it is important to practice, get feedback and experience. Are they CWS Social Workers, Child Care workers, teachers etc. Discussion- list points- What are you trying to convey to your audience?

6 Questions/Answers Don’t have to be a content “expert”
Don’t try to “wing it” or “make it up.” Remember the quote Write it down on a flip chart and make sure you get it answered Someone in the audience may know the answer and if not, write it down- find out the answer and ensure you make contact with them later through etc. to answer their question.. Latest video from Office of Violence Prevention. Talks about trauma and abuse. Not specific to mandated reporting but gets the point across about the impact of violence and abuse/neglect to children.
