4. Gatekeeping Theory In 1947 Kurt Lewin first used the Gatekeeping term. David Manning White was first applier of Lewins gatekeeper theory in communication field.

5. News Selection in TRNC media 1- Most of the editors news criteria is same. Generally, Cyprus problem oriented stories, accident, robbery and crime stories are important for Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus print media editors. 2- Almost all of them are using the Turkish News Agency news bulletin.
