1 Where are my active leads?
Click on the “Leads” tab Select lead date range at the bottom right hand corner of the screen Click the “My Leads” drop down and click “Run Report” (see example of right)

2 Contacting the Lead Click on a the first or last name of the lead. This will bring you to the LEAD DETAIL screen Click “Edit” to take action on the lead If you are sending an OR making a call, log the activity and change “Lead Status” to “Contacted” and then Save 2

3 Logging Activity and Follow Ups
Logging activities is the same process we use for Accounts and Contacts. Log the action you took on the lead (call, , etc) Set follow up task for a date in the near future. Remember! We should not be giving up after 1 call or 3

4 Closing out a Lead (Dead Lead)
If a lead is DISQUALIFIED it MUST be closed out. Leads that are not closed out will always appear in your lead list! Click “Edit” to take action on the lead Select the “Lead Result Reason” drop down and make a selection. Why was this lead disqualified? 4

5 Closing out a Lead (Qualified Lead)
If Lead is QUALIFIED (opportunity is being created), click on the “Convert” button at the top of the screen You will then be asked if you want to link the account to an existing account in salesforce or create a new one. Be careful! We do not want to create duplicates! You are required to link/create the account and create a new task for follow up before converting 5

6 After Lead Conversion Contact from the lead is now attached to the new (or existing account) Opportunity will be listed with a $0 amount at the “Initial Appointment” stage. All activity history from the lead will be carried over 6
