1 Seniors 2016 CONGRATULATIONS!!!

2 PROJECT GRADUATION Six Flags and GDX forms are due to the front office ASAP. No late forms will be accepted after Friday, May 13th. Please sign up for bus groups for Six Flags on the sign up sheet in the front office.

3 GRADUATION FORMS All forms must be signed by May 13th (this Friday)
Senior Activity Bus Permission Slip Graduation Dress Code Appropriate Behavior Contract Scholarship Script Turn forms in to Mrs. Melancon’s office

4 THINGS TO REMEMBER Grades- if you fail ANY graduation-required course, you will not participate in ANY & ALL Senior Activities or walk at Graduation. Behavior – ANY code of conduct violation that results in a DAEP placement, renders the student ineligible to participate in any Senior Activities, including participating in graduation. Attendance- You must secure a minimum of a 90% attendance rate. Failure to do so will exclude you from participating in ANY & ALL Senior activities, including Graduation Ceremonies, until enough “seat time” has been made up to reach 90%. You must take care of these things NO LATER THAN May 17th: Overdue library book and/or fines from the library Lost and/or damaged textbooks Outstanding balance in the cafeteria Any athletic/ extra curricular equipment (knee brace, uniforms, etc.)

5 EXAM EXEMPTIONS You will forfeit your exemptions if:
Grade/attendance eligibility: 80+ with no more than 3 excused absences 90+ with no more than 4 absences You will forfeit your exemptions if: Grade is below an 80 (per class) You have 10+ tardies total from all classes You have 1 or more unexcused absence(s) per class Any ISS, OSS or DAEP placements in the Spring semester

6 SENIOR EXAMS All students must report to, and be counted present to, every class. If you are exempt, you will be released to the cafetorium. No off-campus privileges during exam week. *** EVEN IF YOU ARE EXEMPT FROM A PARTICULAR CLASS, YOU CANNOT LEAVE CAMPUS! *** Final Exam Schedule May 12- 1st, 3rd , 5th, 7th May 13- 1st, 3rd , 5th, 7th May 16- 2nd,4th, 6th , 8th May 17- 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th May 18- Final retesting opportunity (if needed)

May 12-17: Final Exams May 18: Dave & Busters (exam makeups) Jeans & a spirit shirt may be worn May 19: Senior Breakfast, Field Day, Yearbook Signing May 20: Graduation Practice & Senior Photo in cap & gown in the Gym @ 8:30-2:00 PM

8 GRADUATION PRACTICE IN GYM
May 20TH : Graduation Practice & Senior Photo w/ cap and gown in main gym (attendance mandatory) CHS Gym in Cap and Gown 8:30  Graduation Walk in CISD 8:45 – 10:45 Cap & Gown Picture 10:45 – 11:15 Graduation Practice 11:15 – 2:00 ***Group Picture for all seniors with cap and gown.  Boys need to wear a collared shirt, dark dress pants, and a tie.  Girls, preferably a dress, but a skirt or dark slacks will do.  No strapless tops.  Cap & gown pictures will be sold with pictures of graduation day.  (MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR CAP AND GOWN WITH TASSEL AND STOLE)

9 WHAT IS THE SENIOR WALK?

10 SENIOR WALK Groups have been assigned randomly to ensure that all campuses have an equitable amount of seniors participating. If you have siblings at a particular campus, you are welcome to discuss changing your Senior Walk location. Please speak with Mr. Kline.

11 UPCOMING SENIOR ACTIVITES
May 22: Baccalaureate Service 2 Central Baptist Church (Students arrive no later than 1:30 PM) May 23: Graduation Curtis Culwell 9:00-12:00 PM & Senior Raynes

12 GRADUATION PRACTICE AT CCC
May 23: Graduation Curtis Culwell Center(MUST attend to walk) 8:30 - Students CHS Cafeteria 8:45 - Depart for CCC 9: :15 Graduation Practice 11:30 - Depart for CHS 12:30 - CHS ***must be in CISD standardized dress code

13 SENIOR PICNIC The Senior Picnic will be held at the football field/Raynes building immediately following graduation practice on Monday, May 23. Lunch will be provided. However, if you are extra hungry, bring extra money. $$$$$ 

14 GRADUATION!!!!! May PM, must report to 4:00 SHARP Charter bus ride to 4:30 Cell Phones in staging area only  We listened to your requests Teachers will hold phones during ceremony & may pick up after May 26- Pick up front office (you or family member must sign for this)

15 SENIOR PICTURE INFORMATION
The senior panoramic picture will be sold exclusively online this year.  After we have taken the picture we will send a link that can be used to order which will then be forwarded to parents.  The prints go directly to parents. The cap and gown group will be sold with the pictures from graduation day.  Proofs will be sent directly to the parent’s and/or home depending on information provided.  

16 OPENING & CLOSING REMARKS
We are currently looking for volunteers to make the opening & closing remarks for the Class of If you are interested in one of these tasks, please see Mrs. Melancon by Friday, May 13th.
