The Master Technology Teacher Demonstrates Knowledge of basic concepts related to computer animation.

Storyboarding Storyboarding is a panel or series of panels on which a set of sketches, illustrations or images is displayed in sequence depicting consecutively the important changes of scene and action in a series of shots.

Timeline Timeline is a schedule of activities or events displayed as a list in chronological order. The following are some multimedia timelines free to teachers. For example: x time line, time glider, time toast, time rime and dipity. These free sites can be integrated in classroom lessons exposing students to Web 2.0 tools.

Color Depth Color depth is an interesting element of design because it can be applied to any other element, changing it dramatically. It can be used to make an image stand out, and to evoke emotion. In computer graphics, color depth or bit depth is the number of bits used to the color of a single pixel in a bitmapped image or video frame buffer. Color depth is a great way to add emphasis to particular elements always keeping in mind the audience that will view the presentation including color blind people.

Layers Layers are images or image effects applied and placed over or under an image. There are many programs which are commercially available to assist with layering such as Adobe Photoshop 3.0, Photo-Paint, Paint Shop Pro, GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) and Paint.NET.

Animated GIF’s Animated GIF’s is an image encoded in graphics interchange format (GIF), which contains a number of images or frames in a single file. It allows animated images to be created by cramming a set of frames into a single file for sequential playback.

Frames Frames are a single step in a sequence of programmed instructions which can be manipulated to make it appear to move on its own.

Key frames Key Frames in animation and filmmaking is a drawing which defines the starting and ending points of any smooth transition.

Tweening Tweening is an animation technique that generates intermediate frames based on starting and ending points of two images to create the necessary “in between” frames.

Object behaviors Dancing scene
Object behaviors represents the behavior of and animation effect, the main animation sequence, or an interactive animation sequence. The following is and example of a world method used for object behavior. Dancing scene
