1 Vibration & Temperature Sensor

2 Contents Why monitor vibration? Monitor a wide range of machines
Vibration measurements Set alarm levels Mounting options Select a Node Select thresholds Battery life Models Specifications

3 Why Monitor Vibration? Predictive maintenance
Vibration is often the result of components that are: Imbalanced Misaligned Worn Loose Improperly driven Detecting increased vibration early helps reduce machine damage and avoid failures Monitoring vibration reduces downtime Plan maintenance more efficiently Monitor machine run time

4 Monitor a Wide Variety of Machines
Motors Pumps Compressors Fans Blowers Gear boxes

5 Vibration Measurements
RMS Velocity RMS (root-mean-square) velocity is an indication of the vibration energy produced by the machine. Expressed in inches per second (in/s) or millimeters per second (mm/s) RMS velocity is used in the ISO vibration severity chart

6 Set Alarm Levels Set vibration alarms based on the ISO vibration severity chart Set temperature alarms up to 80°C

7 Mounting Options Standard bracket Magnet bracket
(ships with sensor) Magnet bracket Two sided thermal transfer mounting tape

8 Mounting

9 Select Node* Q45 P6 Performance H6 Multihop
Easily connect to vibration sensor using the 5-pin M12 Euro connector Set thresholds using DIP switches Built in LED light is pre-mapped to illuminate amber when the vibration threshold has been exceeded and red when the temperature threshold has been exceeded 2.4 GHz P6 Performance LCD display Star topology allows for up to 47 monitoring points Available in 900 MHz (1 Watt) and 2.4 GHz H6 Multihop Tree topology allows for multiple hops to cover longer distances and circumvent obstacles *Vibration sensor must be paired with a Banner Wireless Node

10 Select Vibration Threshold
Vibration thresholds are DIP switch selectable on the Q45 Use UCT to set the temperature threshold and vibration thresholds for the P6 and H6 Description DIP Switches 1 2 3 4 Vibration alarm at 0.15 in/sec (default setting) ON OFF Vibration alarm at 0.25 in/sec Vibration alarm at 0.35 in/sec Vibration alarm at 0.55 in/sec Local light disabled (conserves battery) UCT configurable
