Figure Dose-response relationship between body mass index and various cutoff values of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) level in healthy young adults. Multiple logistic regression analysis was employed to determine the odds ratio (OR) and 95% CI for associations between elevation of LDL-C level and body mass index, adjusted for systolic blood pressure and age. We used Stata statistical software, version 14.0 (StataCorp) to evaluate potential nonlinear relationships, applying cubic splines with 4 knots in set percentiles (5%, 35%, 65%, and 95%).
