1 Typing of Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains from patients with cystic fibrosis: phenotyping versus genotyping  Nicole Renders, Alex van Belkum, Alfonso Barth, Wil Goessens, Johan Mouton, Henri Verbrugh  Clinical Microbiology and Infection  Volume 1, Issue 4, Pages (June 1996) DOI: /S X(15) Copyright © 1996 European Society of Clinical Infectious Diseases Terms and Conditions

2 Figure 1 DNA fingerprints obtained after AP PCR with primer Strain designations are indicated above the lanes and are identical to those described in Table 1. Note that genotypically similar isolates were obtained from patients 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28. The strains from patients 8 and 10 show different AP PCR fingerprints, which in these cases is in agreement with PFGE data (see Table 1). For the strains from patients 27 useful AP PCR fingerprints are generated, despite the fact that PFGE proved unsuccesful. M=molecular mass marker.
