2. Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.
O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

3. Literal meaning
Where? Mark 1 –Capernaum, house of Peter and Andrew, lonely place, Galilee
When? After teaching and performing an exorcism during the Sabbath.
What? Sabbath day in Capernaum in the life of Jesus
Who? Jesus, his disciples, mother-in-law, sick and possessed people
How? Heals, delivers and cures, prays, preaches
Why? ‘that is why I came’

4. A Sabbath day in the life of Jesus
Synagogue: he preaches
House: he heals
House: he is served
House: he heals and delivers
Wilderness: he prays
Through Galilee: he preaches

5. Finding God In Jesus Christ, God Makes his dwelling with all of us
Undoes the ancient curse
Restores man’s dignity and vocation
Brings us into his communion
‘that is why I came’

6. Finding the human person
Invites Jesus in the house
Intercedes
Receives everything from the Lord
Serves the Lord – celebration
Seeks the lord

7. Finding the Church The house of Peter and Andrew
Healing and celebrating
The older lady
The crowd of those who plead and receive
The restless searchers for Jesus

9. Mary, Virgin and Mother,
you who, moved by the Holy Spirit,
welcomed the word of life
in the depths of your humble faith:
as you gave yourself completely to the Eternal One,
help us to say our own “yes”
to the urgent call, as pressing as ever,
to proclaim the good news of Jesus.
Mother of the living Gospel,
wellspring of happiness for God’s little ones,
pray for us.
Amen. Alleluia.
