1 Ch 8 Quadrilaterals Foldable
Day 1

2 Label the Flaps Polygons Quadrilaterals and Parallelograms
Squares, Rhombus, and Rectangles Kites and Trapezoids Special Quadrilaterals

3 Polygons Box 1 Polygon – A Closed Figure in a plane that has 3 or more sides

4 Polygon Box 2 Concave – A side of the polygon is in the interior.
Convex- No sides of the polygon are in the interior.

5 Polygon Interior Angles (Box 3)
The sum of the measures of the interior angles of a convex n-gon is (n – 2) * 180°

6 Interior Angles Examples
The sum of the interior angles of a convex polygon is 900°. Classify the polygon by the number of sides.

7 Polygon Exterior Angles (Box 4)
The sum of the measures of one exterior angle of each vertex of a convex polygon is 360°

8 Assignment Part 1 Pg 510 # 4-16, 28, 29

9 Quadrilaterals and Parallelograms Box 1
Quadrilateral – A four sides polygon Parallelogram – A quadrilateral with opposite sides parallel.

10 Quadrilaterals and Parallelograms Box 2
If a quadrilateral is a parallelogram, then its opposite sides are congruent.

11 Quadrilaterals and Parallelograms Box 3
If a quadrilateral is a parallelogram, then its opposite angles are congruent.

12 Quadrilaterals and Parallelograms Box 4
If a quadrilateral is a parallelogram then its consecutive angles are supplementary.

13 Quadrilaterals and Parallelograms Box 5
If a quadrilateral is a parallelogram then its diagonals bisect each other.

14 Quadrilaterals and Parallelograms Box 6
If a quadrilateral is a parallelogram then one pair of opposite sides are congruent and parallel.

15 Assignment Pg 510 # 4-16 even, 28, 29 Pg 518 # 3-15 odd
