1. Use the following slides, either printed or projected on the board, to practice ordinal numbers.
For example, on the first slide ask questions like:
Which person is wearing a hat? (the sixth or the ninth person)
Which person is wearing a suit? (the third person)
Is Ramona seventh or eighth? (she’s eighth)
Etc.
On the second slide ask questions like:
To which floor do you go to visit Pilar?
Which is the ground floor?
Which is the first floor?
On the third slide practice asking about presidential order.
After some practice, play matamoscas where you call the ordinal number and they have to find the right person.
After that you can practice schedules, like 1st hour, 2nd hour, etc.
You can have students line up in a certain order (but give them their places out of order, like tell student #1 “you are 4th,” tell student #2 “you are ninth,” etc.
