Effect of Angle of Contact on Amplitude and Voltage The left panel shows voltage map in chronically infarcted swine. The grey balls denote unipolar electrodes. If H1 and H2 unipolar electrodes create the bipolar signal (white arrow), activation of both electrodes occurs simultaneously, resulting in a significant cancelation effect and a resultant low bipolar voltage of mV (upper right panel). If H2 and G2 are the unipolar electrodes forming the bipolar signal that is oriented perpendicular to H1H2(white arrow), activation of these electrodes occurs sequentially, resulting in less cancellation and a higher bipolar voltage of 1.1 mV (lower right panel).
