4 Workplace Transport Safe site - the main goal is to separate pedestrians from vehicles: Footpaths Kerbs Bollards Barriers Fences Crossings/traffic control Clear instructions

Avoid sharp bends and blind corners Clear of obstructions Well marked and signed. Traffic lights where appropriate. Speed limits, humps etc. Lighting

Designated areas - away from pedestrian areas Banksmen – trained and highly visible Vehicle equipment Reversing alarms Flashing beacons CCTV Proximity sensors
