2 What Is homeostasis?? (inquiry questions)
With you groups, read through the question I have provided. Discuss the questions and any possible answers. As a group, you must come up with one detailed answer for the entire group. Roles: Look at which table your sitting at, follow your role in the group. 1 = Question Leader 2 = Discussion Leader 3 = Response Leader 4 = Organization Leader You will have 6 minutes to discuss and respond!

Group 1 Needed to maintain balance within organism If one organ system is off from normal, it will affect all other organ systems in the body. Deviations from “set point” can cause diseases

How does insulin help regulate the body? What happens when it cannot be produced in body? Group 4 When you eat, sugars levels in your blood rise. Insulin is a hormone that brings the levels back down to the “set point” If not produced, can lead to diabetes

7 What is high blood pressure, how is it caused?
Group 5 The blood pressure in body is working hard to move through system. Caused by obesity, high sodium diet, heredity.
