3. Fine Arts Programs Disappearing? Over The years Extracurricular Fine art programs like art class, music class, band, dance teams, & art clubs have slowly started to loose state and school funding. Fine arts has taken a backseat to curriculum in the school system with a new pressure for good test scores Many schools have completely lost funding for Fine arts and had to cut programs from their schools. Due to these cuts classroom teachers are having to find time to incorporate Fine Arts into classroom curriculum

4. Why are Fine Arts important? Fine arts are a critical part of our society & cultural heritage as Americans Data supports that study and participation in fine arts improves learning in all areas. Brain research shows neural development in fine motor skills and emotional balance due to practice in arts. Fine arts also benefits: Self-Esteem Motivation Aesthetic awareness Cultural exposure Emotional expression Social harmony & appreciation of diversity
