2. BLACK HISTORY Month Who Am I?
I am an American novelist, short story writer, poet, and activist.
I met Martin Luther King Jr. when I was a student at Spelman College in the early 1960s.
I credit King for my decision to return to the American South as an activist in the Civil Rights Movement.

3. BLACK HISTORY month Who Am I?
I took part in the 1963 March on Washington. Later, I volunteered to register black voters in Georgia and Mississippi.[24][25]
I wrote the novel The Color Purple (1982) for which I won the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.[2][a][3] 
I also wrote the novels Meridian (1976) and The Third Life of Grange Copeland (1970), among other works.

American Humanist Association named her as "Humanist of the Year" (1997)

 Students must create a Magnus account in their MyLoneStar account, upload their bacterial meningitis vaccine information before 3/1/18.  If the students do not have their bacterial meningitis account cleared they will not be registered for summer courses at Lone Star.

If you have lost an item, please check the front office. Items not claimed after two weeks, will be donated.
If you find a lost item, please turn it in to the front

25. Sack lunches
Students if you will be returning on the 1 p.m. bus from Lone Star, please make sure to pick up your sack lunch before leaving to Lone Star. You will not be allowed to pick up a lunch from the cafeteria when you return.
