Ask to see their notebook.
Make sure it is organized.
Returned tests and quizzes should be in the notebook.
Have them explain the notes or a homework problem to you.
The best way to learn something is to teach it.
Use the textbook as a reference.
Don’t let them get frustrated.
When students become frustrated they put up a wall and do not learn.
