1 Relationships Between Aperture, Shutter Speeds, ISO and their Exposure.

2 What are the 3 Basic DSLR Camera Settings?
Aperture Shutter Speed ISO Depth of Field Movement Exposure

3 How are Aperture and Depth Of Field Related?
As you control the aperture, your depth of field is either clearer or blurrier While your subject remains focused. How is Aperture Measured? F/stops How does the f/stop blur or clear my depth of field? The smaller the f/stop the blurrier your depth of field and the higher the f/stop the clearer your depth of field. This means your Lens opens WIDER the smaller the f/stop and CLOSES even more the bigger your f/stop.

4 How are Shutter Speed and Movement Related?
As you control shutter speed, your movement is either captured or frozen . How is Shutter Speed Measured? Seconds and fractions of seconds How does Shutter Speed “freeze” or “show” motion? The smaller the number (closer to zero) the faster the shutter speed which is where you freeze motion. The bigger the number the slower the shutter speed which is where you can capture and show motion.

5 8 seconds 1/8th of a second 1/800th of a second

6 How are ISO and Exposure Related?
As you increase ISO the more exposure you have (more light emitted). As you decrease ISO the less exposure you have (less light is emitted). How is ISO Measure? Light Sensitivity Measurement Speeds How does ISO brighten or darken an image? The lower the number the LESS sensitive and Less Grain and Less Light (not as bright) The higher the number the MORE sensitive and MORE Grain and More Light (brighter)
