1 Facility Owners/Operators
Attach documents, comments & pictures using RMAP account Attachments Attach photos, comments, maps, etc. using web-based Ticket Search Must have RTE account Excavators Positive Response allows content to be easily shared between the facility owner/operator and excavators. Facility owner/operators & Excavators may add attachments, such as photos, comments, maps or other documents to their dig notice. Facility owners/operators can use their RMAP accounts, while excavators use web- based Ticket Search to post or upload documents to Positive Response. However, excavators must have a Remote Ticket Entry (RTE) account to upload a file to the system. Adding attachments to Positive Response is not a substitute for contacting MISS DIG 811 when tickets require additional action or when ticket issues need to be addressed.

4 If you are a Remote Ticket Entry User, you can also access “Excavator Response” to leave one of five NEW responses or add attachments through Ticket Search Html5/Ticket Search Lite. It is not mandatory that the excavator add a response but it is a way to document the steps of the law being followed by the excavator and creating a history on the ticket.

5 Remote Ticket Entry Excavator Response
MUST HAVE AN RTE ACCOUNT TO USE Not required by law under PA 174 Allows excavators to document their steps Helpful when dealing with a non- responsive member Excavators also have the ability to make their own postings to a dig notice with Excavator Response, but it is not required by law under Public Act However, it’s an excellent way for an excavator to show that he did check Positive Response, and also offers postings that can help the excavator document the steps he’s taken with a Facility Owner/Operator that is slow to respond or completely non-responsive. Only excavators with Remote Ticket Entry Accounts can post using Excavator Response.
