Dead ahead Astern Starboard beam 22.5 DEGREES ABAFT STARBOARD BEAM DANGER ZONE DEGREES (FROM DEAD AHEAD TO THE STARBOARD BEAM). If another boat is within your DANGER ZONE angle, you must give way to it. If you can see another boats red port sidelight, then it is in your danger zone, meaning "stop" for the give-way vessel. The DZ Demo is an animated demonstration of the danger zone. Options are provided to show passing ahead, passing behind, turning, etc. scenarios.
