5 What is CASEMIS? CASEMIS stands for: CAlifornia Special Education
Management Information System

6 What does the CASEMIS software do?
CASEMIS is a file validation system

7 CASEMIS IS NOT An extraction system ( the LEA must extract the files from their system) An upload system ( they must upload the data to us) A data collection system (the data comes from their system) A data analysis system (the reports are not real time)

Special Education Student Data is collected twice per year December Unduplicated student and services data June Student, services, discipline and post-school outcomes
