What does God have to offer? Water = life Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water... whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” John 4:10, 13-14

4 God’s Great Gift Isaiah 55
What does God have to offer? Water = life Wine and milk = abundance “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 And in that day the mountains will drip with sweet wine, and the hills will flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah will flow with water…. Joel 3:18

5 God’s Great Gift Isaiah 55
What does God have to offer? To whom is the offer made? Those who are thirsty Those who are poor There is none righteous, not even one; there is none who understands, there is none who seeks for God; all have turned aside, together they have become useless; there is none who does good, there is not even one...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…. Romans 3:10–12, 23

6 God’s Great Gift Isaiah 55
What does God have to offer? To whom is the offer made? What does the gift really cost? Cost to the recipient Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.” Revelation 21:6 ...Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” John 7:37–38 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8–9

7 God’s Great Gift Isaiah 55
What does God have to offer? To whom is the offer made? What does the gift really cost? Cost to the recipient Cost to the Giver ...knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. 1 Peter 1:18–19

8 God’s Great Gift Isaiah 55
What does God have to offer? To whom is the offer made? What does the gift really cost? Cost to the recipient Cost to the Giver Too good to be true? For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures Corinthians 15:3–4

9 God’s Great Gift Isaiah 55
