3 Answering questions successfully in pe…
Both your internal assessments (FIP's) and end of year exam will test not only your knowledge within the course, but also your literacy and ability to comprehend key terms. These questions are predominantly worth 4 marks each so understanding what the question is asking you to do lays the foundation for a good answer. Theory + literacy skills = success!!!

4 The four command words…
Each question will contain one of the following COMMAND WORDS: 'DESCRIBE', 'EXPLAIN', 'ANALYSE' or 'EVALUATE'. Each of these COMMAND WORDS will be asking you to answer the question in a different way. It is therefore vital that you clearly understand what each COMMAND WORD is asking you to do if you are to be successful on this course. DESCRIBE EXPLAIN EVALUATE ANALYSE

5 “DESCRIBE” QUESTIONS…THE EASIEST OF THE FOUR?
'Describe' questions are asking you to present a series of precise details about an element of the course in lots of short and sharp sentences. you may be asked to provide information about how something looks, how it is carried out in chronological order and/or how it is progressed or interpreted. TIP: Think about who, when, where, what and how. Imagine you are writing your answer for someone who has never seen or heard of your method/approach. By the end of your answer, they should be capable of drawing it/setting it up and then carrying it out in chronological order. (26 secs & 4Mins 11 secs)
