You can have: Personal Educational or Career Goals

6 Why should we set Goals? Achieve more Improve performance
Increase your motivation to achieve Increase your pride and satisfaction in your achievements Improve your self-confidence Eliminate attitudes that hold you back and cause unhappiness  

7 How To Set GOALS Setting goals at the correct level is a skill that is acquired by practice. You should set goals so that they are slightly out of your immediate grasp, but not so far that there is no hope of achieving them no-one will put serious effort into achieving a goal that they believe is unrealistic

8 How To Set GOALS Goals need to be SMART S is for Specific
(what, where) M is for Measurable (can’t say better, good, more) A is for Achievable (win the lottery – you don’t control it) R is for Realistic (I’ll be a millionaire next week –bad timing) T is for Timely (when will you achieve the GOAL) Within the next 3months – Short Term GOAL Within the next months – Intermediate GOAL Farther than 1 year away – Long Term GOAL

9 STEPS to Achieving GOALS
All GOALS have intermediate STEPS that are also goals These steps (goals) must take place for you to reach the final GOAL You track your performance toward your final GOAL with a Graphic Organizer
